THE DAY I REALIZED NOT EVERYONE WILL STAY
There was a time I believed people in my life would always stay. I thought friendships, conversations, and connections were permanent if they felt strong enough.
But life slowly taught me otherwise.
People don’t always leave loudly. Some people leave quietly. One day you are talking every day, and the next day, everything becomes silence.
I remember a time I used to speak to someone almost daily. We shared everything — small jokes, serious talks, random thoughts about life. It felt natural, like it would never end.
But then things started changing slowly. At first, I didn’t notice it. Replies became slower. Conversations became shorter. Calls reduced without explanation.
There was no fight. No misunderstanding. No argument. Just distance.
And that was the hardest part — not knowing what went wrong.
I kept telling myself maybe they were busy, maybe things would go back to normal. But deep inside, I already felt the truth — something was changing.
Weeks passed, then months. And eventually, we became strangers who once knew each other deeply.
That experience taught me something important: not everyone is meant to stay forever. Some people are only part of your life for a season, not a lifetime.
And that is painful, but also real.
Now I understand that people come and go, but the memories stay. And sometimes, the lesson they leave behind is more important than their presence.
