THE NIGHT I SAT ALONE AND THOUGHT TOO MUCH
There was a night I will never forget.
Everything was quiet. The world outside was calm, and the room I was in felt still. But inside my mind, it was a completely different story.
My thoughts were everywhere at once.
I started thinking about life — where I am, where I’m going, and where I thought I would be by now. I started thinking about people I met, conversations I had, mistakes I made, and opportunities I missed.
One thought led to another, and soon I couldn’t control it anymore.
It felt like my mind refused to rest.
I tried to sleep, but sleep didn’t come. I turned on my side, closed my eyes, and tried again, but nothing worked.
At some point, I just sat up quietly and stopped trying.
I realized that sometimes the body is tired, but the mind is not.
And that night taught me something I never understood before — peace is not just about silence outside, but silence inside your thoughts.
