WHEN I STOPPED SHARING EVERYTHING WITH PEOPLE

There was a time I used to share everything with people. If I was happy, I shared it. If I was sad, I shared it. If something happened in my life, I told someone immediately.

I believed that sharing everything would make me feel lighter.

But over time, I learned something different.

Not everyone listens to understand. Some people listen to reply. Some people listen to judge. And some people listen just to repeat your story somewhere else.

That realization changed me slowly.

I started noticing that sometimes when I shared my feelings, I felt worse instead of better. Not because people were always bad, but because not everyone knows how to handle what you share.

So I began to keep more things to myself.

At first, it felt heavy. Like I was carrying too much alone. But later, I realized something important — peace is better than unnecessary explanations.

Now I choose carefully. I don’t tell everyone everything. I protect my energy more.

And I learned that sometimes the strongest version of you is the one who knows when to stay silent.
